This meeting is in accordance with the French Civic Education programmes (EMC), as well as the citizenship programme of the Lycee Jules Verne.
Pretoria – Following the election of the two students representatives per class (from CP to CM2), the firs student council took place Monday 5 November 2018, in presence of 10 elected representatives and Mrs Sopheie Werth, Pretoria primary director.
The agenda included the playground times and the canteen. Pupils of CP, CE1, CE2 , CM1 and CM2 had the chance to debate during 1 hour on those matters and were able to ask the questions coming from classmates.
Johannesburg – Following the election of the two students representatives per class (from CP to CM2), the firs student council took place today, Friday 9 November 2018, at 11 am, in the APC1 room. 32 elected representatives, Mr Jean-Philippe Robbe Saule, CE2A teacher, and Mr Stephane Pollack, director of the primary school, were present.
The agenda included setting up the organisation and rules of the playground games, and establishing the role of mediators for these games. Pupils of CP, CE1, CE2 , CM1 and CM2 raised all their class mates’ questions and debated around these points for about an hour.
