School democracy week aims to highlight the importance of electing student representatives and encourages students to run for the available leadership positions.
It’s a time where students elect their representatives (in primary and secondary school) for class council as well as their representatives in the High school Council (CVL) and Middle school Council (CVC). This week will be an opportunity for our students to develop strong leadership traits and play an important role in the school.
The week will be organized as follows:
In middle and high school, each class elects two student representatives at the beginning of the school year.
In secondary school, the two representatives from each class will participate in Class Council sessions. Every term, the council deliberates on pedagogical issues relevant to the class as well as individual students’ performance. All students are eligible and allowed to vote.
In primary school, the two representatives from each class will participate in Primary student council sessions. Every term, the council deliberates on pedagogical issues relevant to the class as well as individual students’ performance. All students are eligible and allowed to vote.
The class representatives and High school council representatives will then elect the Student representatives who will participate in School Council sessions.
