In Middle School, three cycles spread over four grades, punctuate students’ education:
- The adaptation cycle in 6ème (grade 6), which essentially aims at consolidating the knowledge acquired in primary school
- The central cycle in 5ème (grade 7) and 4ème (grade 8) is when students learn the fundamental knowledge and skills of the cycle 1
- The orientation cycle in 3ème (grade 9) prepares students for their subject and orientation choice in the second general or professional cycle
Moving from once cycle to the next is done according to orientation/subject levels.
A grade meeting meets after each term and advises on a student’s advancement from one level to the next. The principal releases the orientation decision.
