Rugby Option

Since the rugby union teams of France and South Africa played their first test match against each other in 1913, it was only apt that one of the first sports activities the Lycée Jules Verne offered was rugby.

Upon the initiative of rugby aficionados (principals, head teachers, teachers and parents) and due to the values intrinsic to the sport, rugby initiatives went from strength to strength at the school. Today more than 100 students take part in the sport and it has become a subject option in high school.
